TSC Re-Advertises 2025 Teacher Promotions Ahead of New Application Deadline – July 22

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has officially reopened the application window for its 2025 teacher promotion vacancies, giving another chance to eligible educators across Kenya to apply for advancement in various leadership roles. The revised deadline for submitting applications has now been extended to July 22, 2025, offering a brief but crucial grace period for those who missed the initial opportunity.

In a recent notice shared earlier this week, TSC reiterated its intention to fill key administrative positions in primary and secondary schools, as well as in Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs). The Commission emphasized that this re-advertisement is part of its continued effort to strengthen school leadership and uphold a fair, merit-based promotion process across the education sector.

Vacancies are available for a variety of posts. In primary schools, teachers can apply for roles such as Senior Teacher I and II, Deputy Headteacher II, Headteacher, and Senior Headteacher. Secondary school positions include Senior Master IV and III, Deputy Principal III and II, Principal, Senior Principal, and Chief Principal. Opportunities are also available in TTCs for Senior Lecturers and college administrators.

All applications must be submitted online through the official TSC portal: www.teachersonline.go.ke. To qualify, applicants must fulfill specific requirements including a minimum number of years served in their current position, updated Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD) records, relevant academic qualifications, and compliance with the ethical standards outlined in Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution.

The Commission has confirmed that interviews for shortlisted candidates will begin shortly after the new deadline. During the selection process, applicants will be evaluated on professional experience, classroom performance, leadership in co-curricular activities, and their overall contribution to school and community development. TSC has assured that the process will be conducted transparently, and promotions will be awarded based on merit.

TSC has also issued a stern warning to applicants to beware of fraudsters or individuals posing as intermediaries claiming to facilitate promotions for a fee. The Commission emphasized that the entire promotion process is free of charge and any monetary solicitations should be reported immediately.

This extension to July 22, 2025, offers a vital opportunity for dedicated educators to step into leadership roles and further their careers. TSC has urged all qualified teachers not to delay but to finalize their applications in good time and ensure they meet all criteria.

For the latest updates and detailed guidelines, applicants are encouraged to check the official TSC website regularly or follow reputable education news platforms.
